From £420.00
Second-fix carpentry is technically done, but a door still catches on the frame, an architrave sits proud of the wall, or a skirting run stops an inch short. This visit is about getting that timber to sit right — not about building anything from scratch.
Whatever joinery we finish in the visit is done; anything that needs a second attendance or more materials gets flagged in writing.
£420.00 buys one visit, up to four hours, on the door and skirting work you describe. If a door set or a long skirting run needs more time or material than that, it's quoted separately — accept it or not, the £420.00 stands either way.
Guide price: from £18.00 per linear metre of skirting/architrave
Skirting and architrave work is priced per linear metre rather than per m² of floor, because a straight run goes faster than corners, doorways and bowed walls. One room's skirting run (roughly 12–16 linear metres, about £220–290) plus easing a door or two in that room usually sits inside the £420 visit. Multiple rooms or a house-wide second-fix will typically run past four hours — get a quote before paying.
Indicative only, not a quote. If this comes out higher than the £420.00 visit deposit below, request a quote instead of paying the flat deposit.
